CLINICAL CASE DISCUSSION On PROGRESSIVE SUPRANUCLEAR PALSY

Highlights of the case:
A male patient named Mohammed Aslam, aged 65 years, presented with
difficulty in eye movements associated with watering of eyes since 5 years
and weakness associated with slow movements of B/L upper limbs since 3
years. Patient was unable to walk and had difficulty in speech. After complete
examination and evaluation of reports, he was diagnosed with Progressive
Supranuclear Palsy. In the hospital he was treated with sarvanga abhyanga
with ksheerabala taila f/b sweda, Shirobasti with ksheerabala taila, Nasya with
Kalyanaka Ghrita. Patient had got 10% improvement in terms of muscle
power & movements of limbs, Vertical & horizontal saccades improved,
Discussion was on treatment aspects.
