SEMINAR PRESENTATION
TREATMENT PROTOCOL OF MANOVAHA SROTO VIKARA
Presenter- Dr.Megha M Pujari, 2nd year PG Scholar
This presentation on Manovaha Srotas explains the Ayurvedic concept of subtle channels governing mental functions, rooted in the Hridaya and influenced by Rajas and Tamas along with Sharirika Doshas. It highlights causative factors like Prajnaparadha, Asatmendriyartha Samyoga, and Parinama, which lead to various Manasika Vikara such as Unmada, Apasmara, Chittodvega, Vishada, and Atattvabhinivesha. Management follows a threefold approach—Daivavyapashraya (spiritual measures), Yuktivyapashraya (rational therapies including Shodhana and Shamana), and Satvavajaya (psychotherapy)—supported by Medhya Rasayana, Ahara-Vihara, and lifestyle regulation. The emphasis is on restoring Sattva, clearing mental channels, and achieving mind-body balance through holistic, individualized treatment.
