Seminar was started by stating about the importance of the topic in two views 1) Doctors as good hospital managers. 2) Questions in previous year papers for RGUHS exams.


The healthcare industry is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing industries. Consuming over 10 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) of most developed nations, health care can form an enormous part of a country's economy. Hence, following points are important,


Hospital Management Strategies Hospital and its functionality, levels of health care, need of strategy in hospitals and strategic formulation process were highlighted. Health care levels in AYUSH and its management skills were explained in detail.


Infrastructure - Role is to help improve patient outcomes at the hospital by preventing spread of infections and being able to send patients home faster. We need to ensure through our hospital design that there is proper infection control through better planning & layout of the facility ensuring better patient & staff flow and controlled air movement. Elements & divisions of hospital, planning especially planning of panchakarma therapy division were detailed.


Information Technology Information technology (IT) is the use of any computers, storage, networking and other physical devices, infrastructure and processes to create, store, secure and exchange all forms of electronic data. Role of IT in healthcare, HIS, IT in Ayurveda were deeply explained along with 19 key digital initiatives by AYUSH like NAMASTE, AYUSH Suraksha, e aushadhi, Triskandha Kosha, TKDL, DHARA, user friendly apps. Al in Ayurveda-aiwell app, Ayurveda Juice machine, Nadi tarangini pulse machine etc. were mentioned.
