NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SPECIALITY PRACTICES IN KAYACHIKITSA 

Suvarnakaya -Speciality practices in ayurveda -  Two day national conference was hosted by the Post graduate department of kayachikitsa GAMC Mysuru celebrating glorius 53 years of the department on 19th and 20th of April at MMC platinum Jubilee Auditorium JK grounds ,Mysuru with GAMC Mysuru Kayachikitsa Postgraduate Alumni Association.


SUVARNAKAYA

The Department of Kayachikitsa at Government Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, is one of the oldest Postgraduate departments in the country. Established in 1971, KC department holds a rich history of 54 years. It has produced renowned physicians and teachers who have made significant contributions to society. "Suvarnakaya" marking the glory of 50 decades of esteemed  Kayachikitsa post-graduate department, stands as a celebration of excellence, dedication and academic process.

Day 1- 19th April 2025:

  1. Inaugural Programme Highlights 
  • Invocation - the ceremony was began with a prayer to lord Dhanwantari 



  • Welcome Address by Dr. Sanjay Kumar M.D. 
 
  • Introductory Speech by Dr. Mythrey R.C. 

  • lighting of the lamp- The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration of the event, by the dignitories Dr. T.L Devaraj Deputy Director of Ayurveda(Rtd), Smt.Smt.KamalaBai [KAS, CAO], Dept of Ayush, Govt of  Karnataka, Dr.K.S.Radhakrishna Ramarao Principal GAMC Mysore, Dr.Rajendra V President, KC PG Alumni Association and Dr.Mythrey R.C. Organising secretary Professor & HOD of PG Studies in kayachikitsa.

  • Introduction of Smt.Kamala Bai B by Dr.Sidram Guled.

  • Inauguration Speech by Smt.Kamala Bai B [KAS, CAO], Dept of Ayush, Govt of  Karnataka.

  • Compendium Release- "Anusandhana sangraha": Acompilation of 219 dissertation works conducted at Dept of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa from 1974-2023,the book was unveiled by Dr. T.L Devaraj Deputy Director of Ayurveda(Rtd)

  • Cheif Guest Speech by Dr. T.L Devaraj Deputy Director of Ayurveda(Rtd)
  • Presidential Address by Dr.K.S.Radhakrishna Ramarao Principal GAMC Mysore.

  • Vote of Thanks by Dr.Rajendra V President, KC PG Alumni Association

    Center of Arthritis and Rheumatism,Hirabagh, Pune.
  • Topic - An Integrative Approach to  Assessment and Management of Musculoskeletal Conditions.

        3.Scientific Session 3
  • Guest Speaker -Dr. Prashanth A. S., Principal of AMV Hubli, Karnataka, conducted
    the third session.
  • Topic - Nephrology – Effective Ayurveda Management in Different Conditions.

Day 2 – 20th April 2025

       4.Scientific Session 4
  • Guest Speaker -Dr. Prasad Mamidi, Professor and Head of the Department of Kayachikitsa, RB Ayurvedic Medical College andHospital, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
  • Topic - Specialty Ayurvedic Practices in Psychiatry.


       5.Scientific Session 4
  • Guest Speaker -Dr. Ranjith Nimbalkar, Professor and Head of the Department of Roga Nidana,Goraksha Ayurveda College, Phulambri, Maharashtra, led the fifth session. 
  • Topic - Understanding Ayurvedic Management Principles of Carcinoma – With
    Special Reference to Lung Cancer.


      6.Scientific Session 6
  • Guest Speaker -Dr. Upendra Dixit, Former Professor and Chief Ayurvedic Consultant, Dixit Ayurveda Center, South Goa.
  • Topic - Emergency Management in Ayurveda

Poster and paper Presentations
A total of 247 paper presentations and 35 poster presentations were presented over
the two days.

  • Ayurvedic perspectives on the understanding and management of cancer.
  • Conceptual frameworks and treatment approaches for cardiac disorders in Ayurveda.
  • The role of Yoga and Pranayama in enhancing cardiovascular health.
  • Ayurvedic interventions in Rheumatology and joint disorders.
  • Application of Panchakarma therapies in degenerative joint disease management
  • Protocols for the Ayurvedic management of septicemia.
  • The influence of Shodhana, Shamana, and Pathya-Apathya on psychological wellbeing.
  • Ayurvedic strategies in managing neurological and stress-related disorders.
  • Herbal and procedural approaches to chronic kidney disease.
  • Emergency care within Ayurvedic practice, showcasing traditional yet adaptable solutions.
